| Drews Lane
service station, corner of Drews Lane and Bromford Lane. Bromford
lane on the right looking towards Erdington. This garage may have belonged
the Rawlins family. Rawlins Transport was on this site until about
1980. The site was redeveloped and became Bromford Motorcycles...........Bob

| Your photo of Drews
Lane Station, Ward End triggered a few memories. My parents
Dennis and Kathlyn Moody managed the M&B house The Bromford Inn
directly opposite the service station in the mid-fifties. My dad bought a black
A55 Austin Cambridge from there; red leather seats, four door and real wood dash-board. I remember the garage sold Castrol
oil in bottles that resembled Coca-Cola bottles....Dennis Moody |
