The caption on this picture reads Bordesley Green 1952 but the roadsign on the lamp post  tells us it is the A41 Warwick Rd.  The telephone number on the garage is VICtoria. Can someone come up with a more exact location?.......Bob Johnson
The photo you have on the site captioned 'Bordesley Green 1952' should be 'Bordesley'.  It's at the junction of Coventry Road/Stratford Road/High St and, at the time the photo was taken, the workmen were preparing the road for the new roundabout.  Of course, 9 years later, they built the Camp Hill flyover there!  Built it in one weekend too!The Camp (Regent) Garage later bought the giant King Kong statue off the city council and it became King Kong Motors.      George Ward

I know very little about this garage, it is on High St Digbeth/Bordesley near to the Camp Hill flyover. Sparkbrook is to our left and the City Centre and Digbeth to our right.

This might be a modern picture of  The Camp Service Station. Looking out of the city centre with Coventry Road on the left.  Not a brilliant picture of the garage but I had to include it because the famous Camp Hill Flyover takes centre stage.
